RITA BELLACOSA: I attend to eternity I’m interested, from many years, in research of the ancient cults. Soon in all the bookstores you can find my essay of archaeology TEMPLA. I am proud of my eighteen daily hours on the writing of my books and the cultural lectures. My voice thunders mighty and cheerful in the saloons of the lectures when I expose my meditations. I can speak without microphone and they also feel clearly me in the last files. With my powerful voice, or lyric singer or lecturer. I’m archaeologist and philologist, besides writer. As archaeologist I have participated in consignments in Greece, Egypt, Turkey. Particularly I have dealt with untiring passion of PRIENE Turkey. In Italy, of the Great Graecia and Metaponto. I have, dear friends, my little satisfaction: to have shown the existence of the cult of the Goddess ARTEMIDE in Great Graecia from the VI century a.C.. through a patient archaeological and philological job of reconstruction and attribution of Greek fragments to the Greek poet BACCHILIDE. The lyric poet, born Iuli, island of Ceo, 516 B.C. - 451 B.C. , nephew of Simonide and contemporary of Pindaro, poet his rival, was prolific author of epinicia, dityrambs, hymns, subsequently collected in ten books from the Alexandrine philologists, we preserve fragments and two papyruses Egyptian discoveries in 1897 with epinicia and dityrambs. In the fragments that I have examined, the poet of Ceo celebrates the victory by a young of Metaponto, Alexìdamos, son of Phaiscos, in the pythian games to Delfi. After having cheered with the little boy for the gotten prize, the poet tunes up a hymn to Artemide because she maked possible the victory. I hold probable that the cult of Artemide was brought inserted in the baggage of the Greek culture to Metaponto by the Acheis legionaries of the war of Troy. I am convinced that the cult of the goddess has had a place of prominence among those celebrated in the Great Graecia, if Bacchilide devoted her a hymn, and probably the goddess was patroness of the city of Metaponto. Artemide is the goddess that brings in my heart, symbol of grace, youth and strength. The hunter goddess, of the fairs and of the woods she was often represented with the short chiton and tall shoes, with the arc in hand and the quiver with the arrows on the back, accompanied by the buck. Goddess of the fertility and of the chastity, union of wild beauty and female boldness is the ideal woman that would be wanted to be
